Pastor Jim Williams will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. worship service this Sunday at Zion Church Lewistown Valley. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.

Tamaqua Seniors
The Tamaqua Senior Citizens met on Oct. 27 with 21 members in attendance. President Mary Bittle opened the meeting.
The group meets every Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Coaldale Complex. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.
Calvary Lewistown
Pastor Ralph Saunders will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Calvary Evangelich Church, Lewistown. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. Evening sing and praise at 6:30 p.m. with special guest Adam Heisler. Nov. 9 prayer meeting at 7 p.m.
Upcoming events include: Guest speaker, the Rev. Keith McCarthy at the Nov. 13, morning worship service. Any items for the Christmas shoe box ministry should be at the church by Nov. 7. Boxes will be provided.

Andreas VFW Post 5069 will meet on Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. at West Penn Annex. A Veterans Day breakfast will be held on Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. at The Mason Jar. All paid up members and one guest are invited.
Veterans Day Parade
Tamaqua’s annual Veterans Day Parade will be hosted by the American Legion C .H. Berry Post 173 on Nov. 5 at 10 a.m. Staging begins at 9 a.m. by the old Maff Motors Building on East Broad St. Any organizations who would like to participate call David Meredith at 570-668-3356.
