I am writing to let our neighbors know that Lisa Scheller, candidate for Congress in Carbon County, is not looking out for us. Lisa Scheller is the CEO of Silberline; she closed a factory in Carbon County and shipped those jobs, among other American jobs, overseas. And now, she’s trying to run away from this poor record.
My wife and I attended the WFMZ debate taping several days ago, where Lisa Scheller attempted to make excuses for her record at Silberline. One particularly appalling statement she made trying to explain away her record was that she outsourced jobs because she “can’t compete” using American workers. This is more than just laughable, it’s insulting. It is crystal clear that Lisa Scheller puts her own ability to “compete” - aka her own profits - ahead of the American workers she claims to support.
Lisa Scheller sold out Carbon County. She closed a factory here (and one in Indiana), and now she’s opening her third factory in China at the start of 2023. All this information is available online. I strongly urge you to do your due diligence in looking into Lisa Scheller’s record. You will find that she is not a candidate that puts workers first, because she puts herself first - and she’d keep putting herself first if she is elected to Congress.
Please remember to vote on Nov. 8.
