There is too much negativity surrounding politics these days - candidates should run on their records and what they’ve done. So, I have done some research, and I am writing to tell you about Congresswoman Susan Wild’s record.
1. Susan Wild has worked to strengthen manufacturing. She passed a bill called the “CHIPS Act” to invest in American manufacturing, and she passed her own bill called the “Regional Innovation Act” that helps to strengthen our local economies. This is of enormous importance to workers in Carbon. It will benefit our area greatly, because investments in manufacturing and economic development here will support workers here.
2. Susan Wild has worked to get costs down. She passed a bill to allow Medicare to negotiate drug costs. This will go a long way to reducing our drug prices. And, she has held Big Pharma and Big Oil accountable for price gouging to make record profits. There are some politicians who do the bidding of Big Pharma - not Susan Wild. She puts people ahead of billion-dollar corporations.
3. Susan Wild has worked to help our veterans transition into the workforce. She passed a bill to invest in commercial driver’s license training for veterans to fill the needed niche of truck drivers. And, she has made mental health care for veterans a priority, to combat the suicide epidemic we are facing.
Susan Wild has delivered on issues that matter to Carbon. She has invested in American manufacturing, worked to lower health care costs, and supported our veterans. When you vote, keep this in mind. Susan Wild puts party politics and partisanship aside and gets to work to get things done.
