Winners of the Tamaqua Area High School art project sponsored by the Tamaqua Chamber of Commerce and the Tamaqua Lions Club were announced by Jane Gerhart of the school’s art department.

The winners included: Drawings, Janet Edwards and Beverly Mashack; Paintings, Renee Arner, senior high school, and Ralph Bennett, junior high school; Mixed Media, Dan Stidham; Ceramics, Thomas Shea; and Sculpture, Patty Correll, Ann Klein and Maria Vanek.

The students’ work is displayed at Wener’s Candy Store, the gas company, Nancy’s Sewing Center, Palma Maria restaurant, Block’s and Lopez’s clothing stores and Cassidy’s Camera shop.

Judges were Miss Gerhard and Jack Reichelderfer.
