State Police at Lehighton

State police at the Lehighton barracks detailed several incidents:

• A 19-year-old Walnutport man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

He was stopped at 9:18 a.m. Oct. 11 along Lehigh Drive in Palmerton when driving a 2012 Volkswagen.

Police said the driver showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody. Police said he submitted to chemical testing, the results of which are pending.

• Troopers cited a 40-year-old Lansford man for harassment/physical contact, after an incident at 12:32 a.m. Oct. 16 on East Kline Avenue in Lansford.

Police said a 37-year-old woman from Lansford reported she was physically harassed by the man.

• A Bowmanstown woman reported an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle incident. The woman reported the incident happened at 11:56 a.m. July 30 when someone took her 2008 Ford from 766 Fireline Road.

• A 26-year-old Philadelphia man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance after a traffic stop made by state police. Police said they stopped a 2015 Cadillac for a Motor Vehicle Code violation at 1:21 a.m. Oct. 22 at Pine and Amidon streets in Summit Hill. In addition to suspecting the man to be driving under the influence of drugs, police said he was found to be in possession of controlled substances.

• Troopers assisted Carbon County Adult Probation personnel in the apprehension of a 22-year-old Palmerton man at 2:05 p.m. July 14.

Police said the man was taken into custody at 613 E. White St., Bowmanstown, for Act 64 violations, which include the manufacture, sale and possession of controlled substances.

• A man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance following an incident at 12:03 a.m. Oct. 20.

Police said he was driving a 2009 Honda at the intersection of routes 209 and 715 in Chestnuthill Township.

The charges are pending the results of toxicology tests, police said.
