State police at Frackville barracks are investigating the theft of numerous tools and copper wire from a locked storage container of PP & L.

It happened between 2:45 p.m. Oct. 3 and 8:50 a.m. Oct. 6 when someone entered the company’s substation property at 801 Lofty Road, Delano Township, stole the items and left in an unknown direction by an unknown means of travel.

Included in the theft were Husky brand wire/cable cutters worth $2,200, an electrical Knockout set valued at $3,000, locks, copper wire, a bandsaw, strippers and other tools.
