Warden pays tribute to retiring correctional officer

Monroe County Correctional Facility Warden Garry Haidle acknowledged the retirement on Friday of Officer Scott Lockley, a veteran correctional officer, for his 27 years of service.

“As retired veteran of the US Marine Corps, he started at the facility on March 1995. During his years, Officer Lockley has been an asset to the facility in many ways. He has been a mentor for many of the officers and staff that have come through the correctional facility, as well, serving as an active instructor for the facility’s newly hired Officers Training Academy,” said Haidle.

The warden went on to list his accomplishments, saying Lockley, a 1977 Stroudsburg High School graduate, excelled as an officer, receiving the Officer of the Year Award and assisted connecting the facility with supporting community charities.

“He has conducted himself with the utmost professionalism during his career. Officer Lockley has contributed so much to the facility and he will be well missed,” Haidle said.
