Jim Thorpe police are charging a woman after a standoff in the borough Sunday night.

Police from several Carbon County departments and the county District Attorney’s office were on scene in the 600 block of Center Avenue after a woman reportedly barricaded herself in the house, which lasted several hours.

Court records show a 52-year-old woman is being charged with three counts each of aggravated assault, of simple assault, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and harassment.
