Three West Penn Elementary fifth graders won a recent Fire Prevention Week drawing contest organized by the West Penn Township Fire Department. Fifth graders drew their entries in school, and judging was done by the public during a recent fire company breakfast. Winners received prizes donated by area businesses. From left are: Keith House, department lieutenant; Jason Lorah of Lorah Property Repair, who donated an Amazon Fire; winners Adrianna Hine, tied for second; Kenzi Krause, first place, and Kendal Nevenglosky, tied for second; fire company Chief Jeff Bradford, whose business Priority Portables donated an Amazon Fire; and Rick Mertz, department captain.
