There may be 140 condominiums gracing the property of the Mahoning Valley Country Club for 55-plus adults, according to developers who presented a sketch plan to the Mahoning Township supervisors.

Lou Rock of Lehigh Engineering, representing developer Carmen Tessitore, told the supervisors there would be minimal impact on the township as the roads would be cared for by a condominium association.

Rock said his firm has done several of these types of developments in Lehigh and Northampton counties, where the development would not put a burden on local schools. He said each unit would raise about $3,700 in taxes for the school, county and township taxing bodies.
