The Schuylkill League held its annual junior varsity and junior high all-league meets at Blue Mountain High School on Saturday.
Tamaqua’s Jathan Krall won the boys’ JV meet with a time of 19:52. Lehighton’s Jacob Hall placed fourth, crossing the line in 20:55.
Logan Leatherman finished sixth for the Blue Raiders with a time of 21:31, while Jake Lewis recorded a 10th-place finish with a time of 22:04 for the Indians.
In the girls’ JV meet, Tamaqua’s Alexis Jones placed sixth with a time of 29:57, while Lehighton’s Calli Hewey finished eighth in 34:12.
Lehighton’s Claudia Pagotto placed second in the girls’ junior high race, crossing the line in 10:12 behind winner Bella Kassab (10:00). Tamaqua’s Bailey Pliska recorded a top-10 finish, placing eighth (10:43) to help the Blue Raiders place second in the team standings with 66 points behind champion Blue Mountain (42). Lehighton was fifth with 78 points.
Weatherly’s Wade Eroh (9:24) and Marian’s Achillies Fitzpatrick (9:27) finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in the boys’ junior high race. Tamaqua’s Luis Sanchez and Weatherly’s Chase Grier placed seventh and eighth, with both recording a time of 9:33. The Wreckers were third in the team standings with 55 points, while the Blue Raiders recorded a fifth-place finish with 70 points. Tri-Valley won the team title with 34 points.
