Local Roundup: Results from Oct. 14 & 15

Lehighton fell to Bloomsburg in field hockey action Saturday.

Bloomsburg-Lehighton

Bloomsburg scored four times in the second half to break a halftime tie and gain a 5-1 victory over Lehighton.

The Indians jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the opening quarter on a goal by Brielle Frable, who was assisted by Maggie Pagotto.

Bloomsburg knotted the game on Taylor Bower’s tally before Kiana Coulter scored the first of her two goals in the second half to lift the Panthers to victory.

The loss dropped Lehighton to 8-9.

GIRLS SOCCER

Tamaqua-Pottsville

Tamaqua dropped its season finale Friday, falling to Pottsville 6-3.

Kolbe Robb scored two goals and had an assist for the Blue Raiders, who trailed 4-2 at halftime. Tamaqua also received a goal and an assist from Sarah Hope.

For the Tide, Grace Evans had a hat trick and added a helper, while Kailey Olenick added a goal and an assist.

The Raiders ended the regular season at 8-10.
