The National Weather Service says heavy rain is in the forecast today, with up to 2 inches possible.

Today: Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. High near 65. South wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.

Tonight: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 1 a.m., then scattered showers between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Low around 44. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 61. Northwest wind around 5 mph.

Friday Night: Clear, with a low around 37. Calm wind.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 65. Light and variable wind becoming south 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
