Two Lehigh 4-H members were awarded the honor of Best in Show for their 4-H entries at the 2022 Great Allentown Fair.
The winning entries are as follows:
• Kamryn Fink of Germansville for her cake
• Allison Emanuel of Laurys Station for her painting
The entries were all created as part of a 4-H project that showcases the member’s skills and what they have learned through their time in 4-H.
Kamryn took part in the new Virtual Cooking Club and used the information and techniques she learned there to bake a prize-winning cake.
These members exhibited in multiple categories including vegetables, photography, drawings, posters, and PowerPoint presentations.
Many educational and fun activities are offered by 4-H in Pennsylvania.
In Pennsylvania, 4-H is coordinated by Penn State Extension through the U.S. Department of Agriculture. 4-H programs are open to all youths regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability. Administered through Penn State Extension, 4-H is a community of more than 6 million young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills. 4-H is found in all 67 Pennsylvania counties. County 4-H educators work with volunteers to deliver non-formal education opportunities to youth ages 5-18.
