PVE food drive
The West End Food Pantry in Kunkletown and the Pleasant Valley Elementary School is hosting a can drive for SpaghettiOs through Oct. 28.
Triple events
The American Legion in Gilbert will host three events on Monday. At 6 p.m. there will be a meat raffle and the West End Home Association‘s Monday Night Football. At 6:30 p.m., its bingo night. Doors open at 6 p.m.
Blood drive
The Miller-Keystone Blood Drive has moved to the second and fourth Monday of the month in the Western Pocono Community Library track area. Appointments must be made directly with Miller-Keystone.
Women’s group
A representative from Rep. Jack Rader’s office will be the featured speaker at the meeting of the Women’s Group of Effort at 7 p.m. Monday at Effort UMC.
Working needles
Zion Lutheran’s Knit & Crochet group will meet Tuesday at 1 p.m. Newcomers are welcome, experienced or not.
OTOH meeting
Operation Touch of Home will meet at 7 p.m. Oct. 11, at the American Legion Post 927, in Gilbert.
Hoagie sale
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Polk Township Volunteer Fire Company is hosting a hoagie sale from Thomson’s Meat Market. Orders are due Oct. 13. Pick-up is Oct. 25. Call Gail at 610-681-5716.
