Quilt/craft bingo set for Palmerton library on Sunday

Those with an affinity for quilting, crafting and bingo are in luck.

A Quilt/Craft Lovers Bingo will be held Sunday at the Palmerton Area Library.

Doors open at noon. Games begin at 1 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the library.

Tickets cost $25 in advance or $30 at the door.

Seating is limited, and masks are required.

The event is hosted by the Sew What Quilt Guild, according to secretary Brenda Wentz.

Wentz noted that all prizes are either quilted or some kind of crafting.

Refreshments may be purchased before bingo and during intermission.

All money from the bingo sale goes to the library fund, with the exception of the refreshments, which is a fundraiser for the Guild.

Those who participate will receive a packet with 25 games - 20 regular games, and five specials. Extras will also be sold.

Wentz said that each special is a quilt, and that the last special, the coverall, is a queen-sized quilt that the Guild made this year.

“For a bunch of years, we did a quilt show on a Sunday afternoon,” Wentz said. “We’re hoping to raise a lot of money for the library, have a great time.”

To purchase a ticket, or for more information, call the library at 610-826-3424.

This quilt can be won during the coverall portion of A Quilt/Craft Lovers Bingo event to be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Palmerton Area Library. TERRY AHNER/TIMES NEWS
