West Penn Township supervisors took the following action this week:
• Agreed to disperse the fire relief money in the amount of $33,047 to the West Penn Township Fire Co. No. 1 Relief Association.
• Accepted the resignation of part-time police officer Cody Searfoss, retroactive to Sept. 10.
• Approved the letter dated Sept. 26 allowing the West Penn Township Lions Club and Andreas Sporting Club to host their annual Andreas Halloween Parade at 7 p.m. Oct. 19, with a rain date of 7 p.m., Oct. 20, as long as the PennDOT special event permit is acquired.
• Announced that the West Penn Township Fire Company will hold its next breakfast on Sunday.
• Announced that the fire company will hold its Fire Prevention Open House from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 13.
• Agreed to hold this year’s Trick or Treat from 5-8 p.m. Oct. 31.
