Schuylkill Co. Walk In Center holds pottery workshop

The Walk In Art Center in Schuylkill Haven will host renowned potter Tim See on Saturday.

Anyone interested in pottery or who’d like to get started will be fascinated watching See create his amazing works on the pottery wheel and learn some valuable techniques.

Tim has been “throwing clay” since the early 2000s and has Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Ceramics from Syracuse University. His work has been shown at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC, the Everson Museum in Syracuse NY, the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester, NY, the Baltimore Clayworks in Maryland, and throughout the U.S.

Tim has also been published in Clay Craft and Ceramics Monthly Magazines.

He been a teacher of ceramics for many years and his half-, full- and multiday workshops at his home studio in Bridgeport, NY, attract professional and amateur potters from all over the country.

Since 2007, he has produced more than 1,000 education videos on pottery that have been viewed almost 10 million times and have attracted more than 100,000 subscribers and followers.

The full day workshop will include a box lunch and opportunities to work hands-on beside Tim as he demonstrates different techniques.

The fee for the event is $60 and space is limited. Those attending the workshop are also invited to an artist meet-and-greet reception with Tim on Friday evening.
