The Panther Valley Public Library is hosting its weekly Preschool Story Hour on Wednesdays from 10-11 a.m.

Kids ages 3 to 5 are invited to drop in for this free program.

Participants will enjoy fun stories, crafts, and a light snack.

Beginning today, the Panther Valley Public Library will be collecting the following items to donate to our area veterans: new socks, individual or small packs of tissues, and fleece throw blankets.

Community members can drop off their donations at the Panther Valley Public Library, 117 E. Bertsch St., Lansford, during regular business hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 9 a.m. and noon and Thursdays between 5-7 p.m.

Items will be collected until Oct. 28.
