Saint Peter and Paul parish, 260 N. Third St., Lehighton, announces its schedule of events:

Mass

• The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass is offered on the Lord’s Day at Saints Peter and Paul Parish by Father Christopher M. Zelonis, assisted by Deacon Joseph C. Wilhelm, Jr., on Saturdays at 4 p.m. and Sundays at 7:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. Daily Masses are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 8 a.m.

• The Eucharist is exposed for personal prayer every Wednesday from noon to 9 p.m. We are particularly in need of adorers between 6 and 9 p.m.

• The Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) is available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 to 6 p.m., and 45 minutes before Masses on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Counseling, support

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Allentown is accepting appointments and walk-ins at the parish convent building from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every Thursday Services include: individual, marriage, and family counseling; pregnancy and parenting support (counseling, material assistance such as diapers, wipes, baby items); and supportive services (case management, material assistance, emergency rental assistance, referrals). Community outreach

• Our parish Saint Vincent de Paul Society hosts “Vincent’s Closet” by appointment in our former convent building on 242 N. 3rd Street. The society offers clothing and toiletries for those in need, and seeks donations of the same. Call the rectory for more information.

• On Wednesday at 5:30 p.m., our parish will be holding a Community Dinner. Anyone is welcome for a meal and some fellowship. The meal includes kielbasa, mac-n-cheese, haluski, vegetable, and dessert.

Pilgrimage

The parish is hosting a bus to the Diocesan Pilgrimage to the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 6. $50 per person. Pilgrims must being their own meals, but the bus will stop for dinner on the way home.

Instruction

Every Monday from noon to 1:30 p.m., Father is giving instruction on the basics of the Catholic faith geared primarily toward people interested in being received into the Catholic Church. No registration, no fees, no commitment; simply show up in the parish hall.
