Trinity Happenings
Sunday worship with Holy Communion at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., Lehighton, begins 9:30 a.m.
Masks are optional. Included in this time is observance of “Harvest Home.” Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Coffeehouse fellowship follows in Luther Hall.
“Harvest Home” has traditionally been set aside to honor farmers following their season’s growths and appreciate the abundance of their labors.
Donations of nonperishable food items such as canned fruits and vegetables, soup, tuna may be brought to the worship service. All food items will remain at Trinity for distribution through the pantry.
Monetary donations are being accepted to benefit the Trinity Pantry. An envelope is available in the September/October packet of contribution envelopes. If there is no designated envelope, please label a regular envelope with your contribution “Harvest Home.”

Weekly Sunday Church School for students ages 3 though grade 6 begins at 10:45 a.m. Confirmation class for seventh and eighth grade students is at the same time.
The Trinity Thrift Store is open without reservations. Shopping and drop-off hours are Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donation drop-offs are accepted during store hours, limited to five bags or boxes. The Food Pantry continues to be open Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (and third Tuesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.) with an outdoor drive-up setting and precautionary measures in place. Residents in need, who reside in the Lehighton Area School District, are eligible to receive prepackaged supplemental food items. Participants must remain in their vehicle at time of pick up. Pantry volunteers will assist pedestrians/those not in vehicles.
For those desiring to schedule a baptism or seek membership at Trinity, please contact the church office to register for the instruction sessions. Baptismal class will be held on the third Sunday at 1 p.m. Overview for prospective new members is held Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Moore.
Looking ahead is Blessing of the Animals as a drive-through opportunity Oct. 2 from noon to 1 p.m.
Class of 1967
The Lehighton Class of 1967 will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. on Sept. 23 at the Beacon Diner on Route 443 in Lehighton.
