Marian Catholic High School senior Rebecca Boyle participated in the 2022 Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week on the campus of Lycoming College over the summer.
Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week is a weeklong economic education program that offers students an inside look at the private enterprise system and the way the free market works.
Volunteers from the business community serve as advisers who mentor and guide the students as they face many of the same decisions real executives do.
Each company elects a CEO to be the team leader, then compete against each other in the areas of management skills, return on new assets, a marketing and advertising campaign, and a presentation to stockholders.
Every student who attends PFEW learns the value of teamwork, cooperation, and leadership.
“I have such a passion for creativity, leading, and being professional. PFEW brought out all these characteristics and more from me and put them to great use,” Boyle said.
Rebecca Boyle is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Scott Boyle of Sugarloaf.
