The Kids Closet Sale is ready to go today through Thursday at a new location.
It will be at the new Slatington Expo Center at the Slatington Marketplace on Route 873 in Slatington.
This marks the 13th year for the semiannual consignment sale, said Jen Benninger, ad director for the Times News and coordinator of The Kids Closet Sale.
Today is the consignor, VIP and new mom pre-sale from 2 to 9 p.m.
Wednesday is the public sale from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Thursday is public half-price sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (half-price on items marked “discount yes,” all other items sold at full price).
Benninger said there are more than 15,000 items available, such as infants’ through teens’ clothing, along with toys, games, baby equipment, books, DVD’s and home decor.
Families can bring clothes, toys, books and other children’s items that they no longer need and sell them on consignment.
“We have a good amount,” Benninger said. “It’s an opportunity for families to buy nearly new clothing, toys, and childrens’ items.”
The sale was previously held at Penn’s Peak. At the spring event, the average consignor made $301 and sold 106 items.
