September 3, 2005 - Tamaqua’s Isaac Dunkelberger and Alexa Griffiths both capture individual titles at the annual Shamokin Invitational Cross Country meet. Dunkelberger sets a new course record during the boys race, posting a time of 16:02 to win the race by 51 seconds. Griffiths also wins handily, crossing the line in 20:04 - 50 seconds faster than the runner-up. The Raider boys also receive a fourth-place finish from Damian Shoff (17:20), while Panther Valley’s Dave Barachie (fifth in 17:23) and Zach Lebo (seventh in 17:50) also place in the top ten. Tamaqua’s Katie Hartman places sixth (21:37) in the girls race.
