State police at Lehighton are investigating a sexual assault accusation.

Troopers said a 53-year-old Palmerton woman told them she was sexually assaulted on April 6 in an area along Dusty Lane in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said the investigation is ongoing.
