The woman who died in Wednesday’s fire in Monroe County was 44-year-old Lisandra Ortiz, state police said Thursday.

The fire, at a house on Hill Road in Chestnuthill Township, was reported around 7 a.m.

Ortiz died in the house, state police said.

West End, Polk, Blue Ridge, Kunkletown, Jackson, Tunkhannock and Pocono Township fire departments responded to the fire.

State police said the investigation is still open.
