August 16, 1957 - Bob Dasey pitches a no-hitter to lead the Tamaqua Little League All-Stars to a 10-0 victory over Grier City. Dasey walks four and strikes out 11, and receives plenty of offensive support. George Barron goes 3-for-4 at the plate, including a two-run homer in the sixth inning. The winners, coached by Don Ansbach and Pat Sweeney, break a scoreless tie with two runs in the second inning and add three more in the third. Bob Myers and Jack Evans both collect two hits and score a run, while Ted Murphy, Paul Lenick, Christian Beam and Joe Picciano all finish with a hit and a run.
