Summit Hill police issue report for July

Chief of Police Todd Woodward of the Summit Hill Police Department presented his monthly report for July to the borough council on Tuesday.

From July 7 through Aug. 4, the department responded to 310 calls.

There were three criminal arrests, three juvenile criminal arrests and one nontraffic citation.

One adult and two juvenile arrests were made for criminal mischief at the Panther Valley High School.

One adult was arrested for trespassing and theft.

An adult was arrested for terroristic threats and harassment.

A juvenile was charged with harassment and stalking.

A stolen vehicle was recovered on East White Street.

Two burglaries are under investigation, one on West Holland Street and the other on East Amidon Street.

Woodward reported part-time officer Alex Hummel has resigned his position.

The council agreed to hire George Howe and Jason Bell as part-time patrol officers.
