State police at Hazleton reported investigating a one-vehicle crash at 4:14 a.m. on July 13 along South Lehigh Gorge Drive in Lehigh Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Aaron T. Quiggle, 32, of Weatherly, was driving a 2012 Yamaha XV1900 motorcycle northbound when a deer entered the road in front of him. He was unable to avoid the animal and struck it. The bike sustained minor damages. Quiggle had injuries to his left arm and hand but refused medical treatment, troopers said.

The bike was towed from the scene.
