State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are investigating two incidents of scattering rubbish.

Someone deposited bags of trash in a dumpster on the property of the Dollar Store, Route 209, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said in both cases the suspects were located but the store manager was unwilling to prosecute.

The first incident happened at 2:18 p.m. June 21 when multiple bags of household trash were put in the dumpster. The next day, two additional bags of trash were thrown into the dumpster.
