Kidder Township supervisors unanimously approved extensions by the developers of the Graystone Preserve - for 90 days - and for the Jack Frost Golf Course - for two years. The Thornton subdivision was given conditional approval, subject to an agreement on the maintenance of its private road.
Ledgestone Properties LLC’s land improvement and maintenance agreements were approved.
There were no bids again by tree trimming contractors from the township’s ads. Now the township will contact area tree trimming companies to see if they can do parts of the work.
Twelve property owners in Split Rock provided the township with a Hold Harmless Agreement so that they can connect their properties to the township’s sewers. Many plan to build new homes.
Supervisors approved payments for emergency services - $161,271 for the Lake Harmony Rescue Squad, $124,055 into the fire equipment fund, and $62,027 each for the township’s two fire companies.
Township manager Suzanne Brooks noted the start of peak season in township. She congratulated the Albrightsville Fire Company for bringing home six prizes from a recent fire company parade. Noise complaints are up. She asks that citizens call 9-1-1 for noise complaints.
During public comments, a citizen asked supervisors about potholes on the roads within Split Rock. Supervisors’ chairman Thomas Bradley said she should contact Split Rock, who owns and maintains those roads.
