Local Roundup: Results from July 18-19
Tamaqua teams registered wins in recent Panther Valley Little League tournament action.
Tamaqua 2 downed Anthracite in the 9-10 tourney, while Tamaqua 12 no-hit Tamaqua 11 in a shortened 11-12 contest.

Cain Conner had a huge day at the plate to help Tamaqua 2 outscore Anthracite, 20-10, on Tuesday.
Conner finished 4-for-4 with three triples and six RBIs. He also scored four runs for the winners, who produced at least four runs in every inning.
Jaxon Fanek finished with three hits, including a double and a homer, and scored four times, while Tavin Makovec also had three hits and four runs scored in addition to knocking in three runs.
Porter Wilson earned the pitching win, allowing just one earned run and three hits in 2 1/3 innings. Wilson, who struck out five batters, also finished 3-for-3 at the plate with two runs and an RBI.
Chayse Barron contributed two hits and a pair of runs, with Joey Vidzicki chipping in with a hit and two runs.
For Anthracite, Cooper Lynn had two hits, two runs and an RBI, while Benny Paluka had a hit and knocked in three runs. Kale Koerbler scored three runs, and Kellan Krajcirik crossed home twice.

PVLL 11-12 TOURNAMENT
Tamaqua 12-Tamaqua 11
Jaedon Vidzicki and Nico Conahan combined on a rain-shortened no-hitter Monday as Tamaqua 12 defeated Tamaqua 11 by a 5-0 score.
The two hurlers combined for 11 strikeouts in the four-inning contest, with Vidzicki fanning six in 2 1/3 innings and Conahan retiring all five batters he faced via the strikeout.
Conahan also contributed at the plate, collecting a double and knocking in two runs. Aidan Elston added a double and a run, while Matthew Giuliano, Jake Fritzinger and Gavin Edmonds all chipped in with a hit and a run.
