A Monroe County motorcyclist is facing charges after he led police on a chase.
State police at Lehighton said on July 13 at 6 p.m. troopers attempted to stop a 1981 Yamaha motorcycle for traffic violations.
The driver refused to stop and fled. The pursuit was initiated in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, and continued into Polk Township, Monroe County, where the driver abandoned his bike on the Hideaway Hills Golf Course property.
He was located a short time later and identified as Robert Cordery, 27, of Kunkletown.
He was taken into custody and is facing a felony count of fleeing and eluding police and numerous other traffic violations.
