The Jim Thorpe School Board acted on the following items during its recent meeting:
• Approved an $80,775 contract with Green’s Asphalt for paving repairs at all three schools.
• Accepted the resignation of Melissa Wasko, Penn-Kidder kindergarten teacher.
• Rejected a 2.5 percent raise for Ken Marx, business manager.
• Approved Robert Presley as a consultant at $58.65 per hour. Presley was hired last month as superintendent but his contract isn’t set to begin until Aug. 1.
• Posted job openings for a technology director and superintendent secretary.
