July 15, 1991 - Mike Davis turns in an outstanding pitching effort to help Nesquehoning stay alive in the District 18 Little League tournament. Davis tosses a five-hitter and strikes out 12 to lead his team to a 4-1 loser’s bracket victory over Valley West. Offensively, Davis contributes a pair of hits and scores two runs. The winners also receive a run and a two-run single off the bat of Joe Jachowicz. Mike Zalik chips in with an RBI single, while Pat Vito scores a run.
