A Schuylkill County motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Friday at 7:26 a.m. along West Adamsdale Road in North Manheim Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Glenn G. Guldin, 66, of Schuylkill Haven, was driving a 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail westbound and negotiating a left curve when he crossed the center of the road and hit guide wire to a utility pole along the eastbound berm.

After impact the bike slid onto its left side for about four feet, rolled onto its right side, with Guldin being thrown from the bike. The bike came to final rest in a wooded area of the eastbound lane.

Guldin was not wearing a helmet or eye protection.

Guldin sustained fatal injuries and was discovered by residents multiple hours after the crash, troopers said.
