A 33-year-old Philadelphia resident was arrested for drug possession after state police at the Lehighton barracks made a traffic stop at 7:37 p.m. July 2 at the intersection of Interchange and Polk Township roads in Polk Township.

Police said they stopped the 2013 Honda for a traffic violation, after which time they found the driver to be in possession of a controlled substance. Police did not release the person’s name.
