Schuylkill lawyer to serve on board of governors
Schuylkill County lawyer Eric M. Prock, partner in the Pottsville-based law firm of Fanelli, Evans & Patel PC, began a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Bar Association Board of Governors at the conclusion of the association’s annual meeting, May 13, in Hershey.
One of 12 zone governors who serve on the PBA Board, Prock will represent Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Northampton and Schuylkill county lawyers.
Prock has been a voting delegate in the PBA House of Delegates for the past two years.
Prock is also member of the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association and the Schuylkill County Bar Association, where he has served on the Board of Directors since 2018.
Prock has been recognized by the National Academy of Personal Injury Lawyers and the National Academy of Criminal Defense Lawyers as a Top 10 Attorney in Pennsylvania under the age of 40 in both of those practice areas. Prock is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, a national organization that recognizes trial lawyers who have obtained verdicts or settlements on behalf of their clients of at least $1 million. Prock has also been recognized as one of the Top 100 civil plaintiff’s attorneys in Pennsylvania.
In his community, Prock serves as secretary of Clinical Outcomes Group, a private nonprofit organization providing health and social services to residents of Schuylkill County and the surrounding areas. Prock is also a volunteer coach for the Pottsville Youth Soccer Association.
Prock serves as the solicitor for various municipalities and municipal entities, including the boroughs of Palo Alto and Cressona, the Blue Mountain School District, the North Manheim Township Zoning Hearing Board, the Schuylkill County Housing Authority and the Schuylkill County Transportation Authority.
Prock is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Penn State Law Review. He completed his undergraduate studies at Muhlenberg College, where he graduated summa cum laude and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society in Liberal Arts, the Pi Sigma Alpha National Honor Society in Political Science and the Phi Sigma Tau National Honor Society in Philosophy.
