LEHIGH VALLEY LEGION
Northern Valley-Allentown
Northern Valley forced extra innings with two runs in the seventh inning, and after two extra frames its Lehigh Valley Legion game with Allentown ended in a 5-5 tie.
Trailing 5-3 entering their final at-bat, Cole Hausman led off the seventh with a solo homer to cut the deficit to one. Later in the inning, N Scott hit a sacrifice fly to center to plate Wesley George with the tying run.
Neither team could dent the plate the rest of the way. Allentown, however, did threaten in the eighth by loading the bases but a fly to left ended the scoring chance.
Hausman finished with two hits and three RBIs for the Chargers, whose record is now 5-4-2. Sam Mauro reached base three times (hit, two walks) and scored two runs. Relievers Weston Beers and Nicholas Bogert combined to pitch 3 2/3 scoreless innings.
For Allentown (4-9-1), Christopher Quezada collected three hits and knocked in a pair of runs.

The Monarchs reached Latchford for their only run of the game in the fourth inning when Lawrence Baldassano, who had singled, scored on an error. The tally tied the game, however Lower Mac came up with three runs in the home fifth to give its pitcher the support he needed.
Latchford didn’t walk a batter in his seven innings of work and struck out four.
Carbon received a pair of hits from Randy Bongiorno, while Ian Rarick added a hit and a run.
The loss drops the Monarchs to 5-6, while Lower Macungie improves to 7-3-1.
