Thomas P. Raymer of Coaldale has retired after serving as a schoolteacher for 43 years.

Raymer served on the faculty of the Coaldale High School for 40 years and spend one year in Summit Hill with the Panther Valley Joint High School System. Before coming to Coaldale, he taught for two years in Illinois.

During his local tenure, Raymer coached football, basketball and track and field, during which time he mentored and trained many noted athletes who went on to achieve fame at colleges and universities.
