Dr. Charles B. Reitz, Walnutport, who practiced medicine for 25 years in Palmerton and was the pathologist at the Allentown and Sacred Heart hospitals at one time, received a 50-year Distinguished Medical Service certificate from the Hahnemann Medical College, Philadelphia, during commencement exercises recently.

Dr. Reitz has also been a part-time pathologist at the Coaldale State General Hospital since 1957.

He and his wife, Minnie, live at 639 Gap St. in Walnutport.
