Dear editor:
I, my wife and friends frequently walk different segments of the D&L Trail.
We and bicyclists are supposed to share the trail. But it is a rare instance when a biker lets us know that they are approaching from the rear. Most speed by with no warning to the walkers.
A trail worker said that putting up signs reminding bikers of the common courtesy of warning walkers would just be ignored. So, hopefully, any trail bikers would read this plea for common sense and trail-sharing courtesy and follow through.
