No changes are in store for Northern Lehigh School District’s current health and safety plan.
Superintendent Matthew J. Link reviewed the plan with the school board on Monday.
Link noted that every six months they’re required to consider their health and safety plan at a public meeting, and then post any changes to the plan on its website.
“Administration is not recommending any changes to our health and safety plan moving through the summer and into the fall,” Link said. “However, it will remain posted on our website with today’s (Monday’s) date noted as the date of review.”
Link added, “so really right now, we’re just looking at a status quo for our health and safety plan.”
“Just about all of the mitigation efforts have been removed; we’re not requiring a mask anymore, we’re not requiring the social distancing,” he said. “We’re going to continue with that into the summer and hopefully into the fall.”
Link noted that the district will have to review its health and safety plan in another six months.
