Carbon County Environmental Education Center in Summit Hill has announced the following events and other information.

Most programs are offered in-person with limited attendance. Some include a virtual option. See program descriptions for details at www.carboneec.org/publicprograms. Additional information is also on CCEEC’s Facebook page.

CCEEC is located at 151 E. White Bear Drive, Summit Hill. The center building is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekends.

Rattlesnake Run

The annual Rattlesnake Run takes place at 8 a.m. on June 18. This 5K run and 1-mile fun walk takes place at Lehigh Gorge State Park. Runners and walkers of all ages and interest levels are welcome.

Dozens of unique “rattlesnake” awards for age category and overall winners, jumbo cookies at finish, raffle prizes, and loads of fun throughout the morning. No dogs or strollers please. Check out the race’s FAQ page for info.
