Andrea M. Nale, of Kunkletown, Pleasant Valley High School class of 2014, graduated from the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton on May 15. In high school, she was active in Future Business Leaders of America and the National Honor Society, as well as tennis and softball.

A 2017 magna cum laude graduate (BA, biology) of Misericordia University in Dallas, Pennsylvania, Andrea performed many hours of community service at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, and other places.

At GCSoM, she served as secretary of her class and was a campus representative. She also was the vice president of a schoolwide organization where she has acted as a mentor and helped over 30 premedical students from undergraduate colleges in the NEPA region get into medical school.

Andrea will continue her studies as a physician in the Family Medicine residency program at WellSpan Health, York, starting in June.
