May 31, 1957 - Tamaqua’s legion team uses a six-run first inning to help gain a 9-2 victory over Schuylkill Haven. The winners receive four walks, singles by Steve Yasenchak, Lee Houser, Gene Kistler and a double by Gordon Kistler to account for the big first frame. Ron Schock adds to the lead in the second inning when he blasts a two-run homer, while Dave Klesh closes out the scoring with a third-inning RBI single. Klesh combines with Larry Leitzel and Tony Fredicine to limit Haven’s offense to just five hits.
