The Schuylkill County Tax Assessment office received phone calls from property owners from across the county questioning the validity of people posing as tax reassessment data collectors.

The countywide reassessment is months away from conducting physical property inspections. When inspections begin ample notification will be given to the municipalities and property owners.

Under no circumstance should you allow someone in your home for assessment purposes.

People who encounter impersonators are asked to notify your local authorities or the police immediately.
