Nesquehoning hosts Switchback talk

The Nesquehoning Historical Society will host a talk and visual presentation titled “The Summit Hill and Mauch Chunk Switchback: Selected scenes from Then and Then and Now” by local author and historian Vince Hydro.

The event will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the museum, located at 157 W. Railroad St.

Following his presentation, Hydro will be signing copies of his new book: “The Summit Hill and Mauch Chunk Switchback: America’s First Roller Coaster.”

This event is open to the public free of charge, although donations to the historical society are always welcome.
