On, May 14, Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees held a pre-retirement workshop for 25 school employees from Carbon and Schuylkill Counties who are thinking about retiring.

The meeting was held at Leiby’s and was organized by Vince Spisak from the Carbon PASR.

The speakers for the event were Mike Davis from Ameriprise Financial, Wanda Tracey from PSERS and Health Options Program, John Tucker from the Public School Employees Retirement System, and Bill Neugebauer the PASR state President.

The time spent was informative and gave those present an overview on how to make effective plans for retirement as well as the pitfalls to avoid.
