A local student graduating May 7 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree will be honored at IUP commencement for completing studies with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average.
Dominique Harris, a psychology honors major from Jim Thorpe, is the daughter of Glen Harris and Siyheda Harris. She is a 2018 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area Senior High School. She was a recipient of the Stanley Lore Scholarship, and was member of Phi Sigma Pi National honor fraternity, Psi Chi honor society, the National Society of Leadership and Success, Alpha Phi Sigma honor society, Phi Kappa Phi honor society and volunteered at the IUP Food Pantry and Help Center, and as a panelist and assistant Crimson Guide during Experience IUP Day admission events.
A total of 1,722 graduates will be part of the university’s three commencement ceremonies held May 6 (graduate degrees) and May 7 (undergraduate degrees) at IUP’s Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex. Students graduating in May and August are eligible to participate in the ceremonies.
